Aaron Chalmers: Geordie Shore and MMA star ambitious to be big hit after signing for BOXXER

Very serious and dedicated about boxing.

That is Geordie Shore star-turned-fighter Aaron Chalmers who has switched from MMA to the Marquess of Queensberry Rules.

And such is his ambition and determination to be a hit inside the ropes he is being managed by leading trainer, Adam Booth, and being promoted by BOXXER, with whom he has signed a multi-fight deal.

Aaron began training at the Booth Booth following a successful Mixed Martial Arts career, where he was signed to Bellator MMA – one of the leading global promotions – and won five of his seven contests, including two wins by way of first-round KO.

“I thoroughly enjoyed my time in MMA but I always knew that boxing was where I wanted to be,” said the 34-year-old, from Newcastle.

“Now I’ve got the chance to fulfil that dream and over the next few years I’m going to give it my all!”

Booth, the coach of Sunderland star Josh Kelly, and his team will provide a great training base while BOXXER will get him on their show on Sky Sports.

Ben Shalom, BOXXER founder and CEO,, explained: “Millions of people know Aaron Chalmers as a television star and professional MMA fighter.

“But he’s very serious about boxing and I’ve witnessed his dedication over the past 12 months.

“Adam Booth is one of the most accomplished trainers out there, so I’m looking forward to some exciting fights and seeing how far he can go.”

Chalmers shot to fame as one of the most popular cast members on MTV reality series Geordie Shore.

News of Chalmers’ promotional debut under the BOXXER banner will be announced in the near future, but it would not take a genius to work out he would be a prime candidate to appear on the Savannah Marshall-Femke Hermans WBO world title undercard in Newcastle on March 12.
