Savannah Marshall loves fighting.
It is just as well as she embarks on a double assignment with two fights inside two weeks abroad and at home.
The 27-year-old is set to fight for a first title in just her fourth professional fight on the undercard of Hughie Fury’s IBF world heavyweight title eliminator against Kubrat Pulev on Saturday, October 27.
And the Hartlepool star will be back in action on Friday, November 9 in Manchester where she fights on the MTK show at Victoria Warehouse over eight or six rounds.
“I’m in camp now and to know that I have two fights at the end of it is brilliant,” said the former world champion who clinched two stoppage wins in the space of five weeks in the summer.
“I like being busy and this suits me perfectly.”
Marshall, trained by Hughie’s dad, Peter, will fight for an International Boxing Federation title in Sofia on the Pulev-Fury show live on Channel 5 in a fortnight.
Savannah’s two Team GB comrades from the 2012 World Championships and Olympics, Nicola Adams and Natasha Jonas are both on the championship ladder.
Adams became the interim WBO world flyweight champ with a win in Leicester on Saturday night in her fifth contest while Jonas won the WBA International featherweight title in her sixth pro appearance.
The IBF world title is currently vacant but the sanctioning body’s European or International super-middleweight belt look the more likely scenarios.
“I’m going to be fighting for a championship and I can’t wait,” said the 2012 world gold medalist, who is managed by Mick Hennessy.
“Mick and Peter are still looking at next year for a world title but to be fighting for an international title on Channel 5 is very exciting.”
So too is a domestic date less than two weeks later.
“It’s fantastic to be boxing in Manchester and it gives my supporters chance to watch me,” added the 2014 Commonwealth Games gold medallist.
