Tyneside is ready for a tear up.
Just a couple of Saturdays after No Place to Hide proved a knock-out hit, promoters Steve Wraith and Phil Jeffries are back in Dunston on Saturday, September 29.
While Tear Up On Tyneside has no derbies for the fans to feast on, there are six courses on the menu at the Lancastrian Suite.
Attracting much of the attention will be the transfer of Reece McAllister from Thai to Marquess of Queensberry.
McAllister built up quite a following and quite a reputation when fighting for Phoenix Thai Boxing in Shildon and he now follows Ellis Corrie in fighting out of Pete Shepperson’s DBMA stable with Wraith as his manager.
He will take on fellow debutant, Said Zahoor, from Huddersfield, over six rounds.
There is a second debutant on the promotion as Anth Ornsby takes to the ring as a pro for the first time
The exciting 18-year-old prospect, from Wallsend ABC, faces MJ Hall over four rounds.
Imran Naeem’s NPBA squad are out in force in Dunston.
Luke Cope, having looked so impressive on his debut in Darlington back in May, faces another new pro in Shropshire’s Dean Jones who is boxing for the fourth time.
Mohammed Waqas, the most experienced operator on the bill, made a superb return to the sport in July after a five-year hiatus. The Middlesbrough star (pictured) will be confident of his sixth win against Sheffield veteran Anwar Alfadli.
Another Imran fighter to impress in the summer was ‘Turbo’ Terry Tyers who entertained the crowd at the Summer Rumble.
The Trimdon fighter, with three wins under his belt, has been matched with Nottingham-based Pole Patryk Buczek.
John Green is back in action for the first time in over three years when he goes in with a favourite visitor to the North-East Alec Bazza.
The Belfast trier has boxed in the region seven times during Green’s period of inactivity, but the Northern Area champ returns and will be favourite for his fifth paid victory.
