Two champions in seven days with his first show of 2018 just five days away.
Welcome to the whirlwind life of Phil Jeffries.
The Sunderland fight figure stages an eight-bout bill at Rainton Meadows Arena this Saturday, featuring British champion, Tommy Ward.
And Jaffa says if this weekend’s date in Houghton is half as spectacular as his last two then he’s in for another thriller.
Phil was at ringside in Manchester last weekend when his unbeaten lightweight, Lewis Ritson, demolished Joe Murray in the maiden defence of his British title.
And Glenn Foot made it a Jeffries double when he stopped Jason Easton in the 11th round of an epic scrap for the vacant Commonwealth light-welterweight championship in Glasgow.
“Two champions in two weekends?” smiled Jaffa. “To say I’m buzzing wouldn’t come close to tell you how I’m feeling.
“You’d struggle to find two better performances anywhere.
“Lewis is something special and, as for Glenn, what a way to become Commonwealth champion! He’s a proper fighting man and I’m over the moon he’s got the title he deserves.
“I’ve got a buzz about this Saturday too.
“Tommy Ward is already a champ so it’s nice for fans to get to watch him box up here and we’ve got one of our most explosive fighters, Darren Surtees, back.
“The rest of the show is all about my new fighters and I’m looking forward to seeing them take their talent into the ring.”
Redcar’s Hill brothers, Tom and Joe, are on the bill as is fellow Teessider, Joe Maphosa, plus Geordie trio, James Conlon, Kris Pilkington and Mark Taylor.
Tickets are available from the boxers or via Phil on 07747611020.
